There is a great acticle on the topic written by Andrew O’Hagan. We hear a lot of people using the famous sentence in conversations… “Only people with something to hide will fear the introduction of compulsory ID cards.”

Andrew replies: “Hooking individuals up to a system of instantly accessible data is an obscenity - not only a system waiting to be abused, but a system already abusing.” These few words mean much. Everybody should be aware and agains’t such a crazy idea. If you read 1984, you have a clear picture of a society under such controls.
